And being part of Hospital Radio Exeter gives me an opportunity to share this with others. We have a great team here whose appreciation of music gives us all something in common. I am part of the team that present the Thursday request show.

I am also a member of the one of the Sunday morning teams presenting a programme which includes a pre-recorded chapel service at 10.30.

I co-host the Monday night request show. Visiting the wards to gather song requests is a highlight, as it’s rewarding to connect with people and hopefully brighten their day. Outside of the radio, I’m a secondary school geography teacher, I help run my local football team Ottery St Mary, walk my dog with my fiancé or work on home renovations. Hospital Radio has not only deepened my musical knowledge and introduced me to new genres, it has helped me develop new friendships and build my confidence. Still to this day it has been one of the best things I have volunteered for.
